a) Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Profile photo (if provided or synced from Google)
• Password (stored in encrypted form — we never store plain text passwords)
• Date of account creation

b) Google Sign-In

If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive limited profile information from Google including your name, email address, and profile picture. We do not receive or store your Google password.

c) Exam & Test Data

To provide you with personalized performance insights, we collect:

• Test responses and answers submitted
• Test scores, percentiles, and performance metrics
• Time spent on each question and test
• Exam categories and subjects you practice
• Test history and completion records
• Bookmarked tests and saved content

d) Usage & Analytics Data

We automatically collect usage information such as:

• App features accessed and frequency of use
• Device type, operating system, and app version
• Session duration and engagement metrics
• Crash reports and error logs (to improve app stability)
• Language and theme preferences

e) Communication Data

If you contact our support team, we may collect your messages, email, and any information you provide to help resolve your issue.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the service: Create and manage your account, deliver mock tests, and show your results.
• Personalize your experience: Track your progress, identify weak areas, and recommend relevant tests.
• Analytics & rankings: Calculate your percentile rank, accuracy scores, and comparison with other students.
• Push notifications: Send you test reminders, new exam alerts, and study streak notifications (which you can disable anytime).

• App improvement: Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs and develop new features.
• Legal compliance: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, and legal requests.

3. Information Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We work with trusted third-party companies (such as Firebase by Google) who help us operate our platform. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your data and may only use it to provide services to us.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
• Safety & protection: We may share information to protect the rights, property, or safety of Mock Abhyas, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers: In the unlikely event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice in the app before your data is transferred.

4. Third-Party Services

Mock Abhyas uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

Firebase (Google LLC)

• Firebase Authentication: Manages user login and account security.
• Cloud Firestore: Securely stores your account data, test history, and performance records.
• Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Sends push notifications to your device.
• Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous app usage data to help us improve the app.

Firebase is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. We recommend reviewing Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.

Google Sign-In

We use Google Sign-In as an authentication option. When you use this feature, Google shares limited profile information with us as described in Section 1.

YouTube (for Study Videos)

Some content in our app may include embedded YouTube videos. YouTube's terms of service and privacy policy govern interactions with this content.

5. Data Security

We take your data security seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards:

• All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted using SSL/TLS.
• Passwords are never stored in plain text — we use industry-standard hashing.
• Our database (Firebase Firestore) is protected with security rules that restrict access on a per-user basis.
• We conduct regular security reviews and updates.

6. Your Rights & Choices

You have the following rights regarding your personal information:

• Access: You can view your profile information and test history within the app at any time.
• Correction: You can update your profile information through the Profile section in the app.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data. Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
• Notification Control: You can enable or disable push notifications at any time through Profile → Notification Settings or through your device's notification settings.
• Data Portability: You may request a copy of your test history data by contacting us at support@mockabhyas.com.
• Opt-out of Analytics: You can opt out of anonymous analytics collection through your device settings.

7. Children's Privacy

Mock Abhyas is designed for students preparing for competitive exams. Our services are not directed to children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at support@mockabhyas.com and we will delete such information promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors.

When we make significant changes, we will:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
• Send you a notification through the app.
• For material changes, we may also send you an email notice.

Your continued use of Mock Abhyas after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
